건축가는 어떻게 ‘인간 너머’의 존재들과 협력할 수 있을까? 비인간 존재의 시선에서 도시는 어떤 공간일까? 건축의 기저에 깔린 인간중심적 시각에 의문을 제기해보자.

River lies at the intersection of infrastructure and nature, contrasting the controlling forces of human engineering with the constant flow of water and natural forces. While being heavily designed and utilized by humans, the urban river landscape is also inhabited and altered by a diverse range of non-human actors, including spontaneously growing plants, animals, fish, water and soil, which contribute to the complexity and dynamism of the site. But what kind of place is the urban river for such human and more-than-human actors, and how do they interact with the built environment?

In this workshop, we will broaden the subject of spatial anaysis to non-human actors, with a particular emphasis on observing and documenting the movement, accessibility, and use of urban space from the perspective of non-human actors. Our goal is to better understand the inherent ecological value and diversities of the site, in order to work with the utmost respect for what already exists and to think about habitation in terms of coexistence of multi-species.
